Experiential retail has never been more important than in a post-Covid world.
The pandemic accelerated the upward trend towards more online shopping and July saw a record £10 billion spent via the web. But as we (hopefully!) return to greater sense of normality, retailers and brands are now faced with the challenge of encouraging shoppers to ditch the iPhone and get back to the high street.
One of the ways some brands are tackling this is by creating an immersive in-store experience. The focus is not only on selling product, but providing consultative expertise, trying before you buy, demos and interactive entertainment all under one roof.
Here at Momentum, we were excited to see Sky doing exactly that with their incredible new offering at Westfield Stratford City. Bringing together their mobile, broadband and TV products together in one place, the Sky Shop ‘is a new social hub for shoppers’ that places the customer experience at its heart.
